Dynamic Labyrinth Seal

This product is the rotating seal that works with the static labyrinth. It mounts on the roll neck. It rotates with the roll. We make this product from 42CrMo forgings. High-quality forgings ensure product density. Our forging suppliers go through strict audits. We do ultrasonic inspection on every forging batch upon arrival. We check for internal defects. The overall nitriding process for this product is strictly controlled. We first do quenching and tempering. Hardness is controlled at HB 270 to 300. Then we do nitriding. Nitriding depth is ensured at 0.3 to 0.5mm. After nitriding, the surface has very high hardness. We do dynamic balance testing on this product. Balance grade reaches G6.3. This ensures smooth operation at high speed. We machine with 5mm tooth pitch and 3mm tooth height. Tooth count ranges from 4 to 6. Tooth tips get C0.5 chamfering. Every Dynamic Labyrinth Seal is precision-machined.

The assembly clearance with the static labyrinth is very important. Our pairing clearance is controlled at 0.20 to 0.32mm. The shaft hole uses H7 tolerance grade. Keyway symmetry does not exceed 0.02mm. Face runout is controlled within 0.03mm. These precision levels prevent interference with the static labyrinth at high speed. Working temperature does not exceed 120°C. Maximum linear speed reaches 130 meters per second. This meets sealing requirements for high-speed mills.
